organizations; and other activities deemed appropriate by the members.

matters of concern to university administrators with executive authority over academic
units directly encompassing Information Systems. Such matters include faculty supervision,
recruiting, and development; academic programs and curriculum development; pedagogy;
accreditation; student recruiting; facilities and laboratories; educational technology; funding sources;

The affinity between this society and the AIS is demonstrated by the large
overlapping membership of the founding members. A future affiliation with, or merger within,
AIS will be taken up by the founding members upon formation.
